About Us

Since 1968 the Brevard Achievement Center has been a leader in providing vocational and social rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities. As a result of the Brevard Achievement Center’s programs there are thousands of persons with disabilities who today are successfully living and working in many communities. The Brevard Achievement Center provides services in several Florida locations – including - Brevard County, Fort Walton Beach, Pensacola and Fort Pierce. Services are also provided in Georgia and on the island of Puerto Rico.

 

The Center offers assistance to the community in many ways. Some of these include:

  • Complete mail fulfillment

  • Hand assembly
  • Light manufacturing
  • Clerical assembly
  • Custodial services
  • Full service dining operations
  • Switchboard services
  • Vocational evaluation
  • Job placement

The Brevard Achievement Center is proud of their positive relationships with many businesses and governmental agencies. Some of these include United States Air Force, United States Army, and the United States Department of Agriculture.

But most important - the Brevard Achievement Center is proud of the many individuals with disabilities who are successfully living and working in our communities!

Ryan Rogers, Vice President Administration
Brevard Achievement Center since 1992
Responsible for the administrative functions including:  Financial Management, Technology, Risk Management/Safety, Workers Compensation, Facilities & Business Practices.

Wayne Wells, Vice President Operations
Brevard Achievement Center since 1998
Responsible for the development and management of Federal Contracts under the Ability One program.

           

Education:
Bachelor Degree:  Major in Finance, University of Central Florida
Associate Degree:  Major in Business, Brevard Community College
Associate Degree:  Engineering Specialist, Community College of the Air Force

 

Other experiences include:
22 years service in the United States Air Force

Shirley Ebelink, Vice President Human Resources
Brevard Achievement Center since 2001
Responsible for Human Resources functions including:  staffing, payroll, benefits, performance management, employee relations, compliance & training.

 

Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree:  Major in Personnel & Labor Relations with a Minor in Psychology, University of Maryland


Other experiences include:
24 years in the Human Resources field

Nancy Richards, Vice President Habilitation
Brevard Achievement Center since 2004
Responsible for programs including:  Adult Day Training, Supported Living, Supported Employment & Community Based programs.

Masters Degree:  Major in Child Development and Family Relations, University of Illinois
Bachelor Degree:  Major in Education – Home Economics, Stout State University

Behavior Analysis & Consultation (12 + years), Owner/Management of Child    Care Franchise, Vocational Consultation,    Regional Training, Curriculum    Development, Teacher (Public High Schools & Junior High Schools)

 


 

Jennifer Secor, Vice President Employment
Brevard Achievement Center since 2007
Responsible for agency employment programs including: Community Employment, Vocational Assessment & Evaluation, Supported Employment, Transitional Support (School-to-Work), On the Job Training, Ticket to Work, Pre-Employment Training and Sea-Land Work Incentives Planning and Assistance Program.

 

Education:
Bachelor Degree: Major in Human Services, University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh

16 years of Management Experience in the Human Services field
